TERMS & CONDITIONS

LIABILITY WAIVER

Firearms, air guns, and associated training includes certain inherent risks to participants. While Bladesmith Outdoor Leadership Training ('BOLT') instructors make every reasonable attempt to minimize these risks, by participating in our training and instruction, participants agree to waive all claims for injury, illness, impairment (whether physical, mental or emotional) or death arising from any training or activity conducted or attended by BOLT, its employees or instructors, arising from any action or inaction on the part of BOLT, its agents, employees and instructors. A personal liability waiver must be signed in order to participate in camps or training with Bladesmith Outdoor Leadership Training. If the participant is a minor, the waiver must be signed by their parent/guardian in order for the child to participate. All contracts will be sent to participants for signature after registration is complete.

APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR AND CAMPER CHARACTER

BOLT reserves the right to remove any individual from the range or from a training class who behaves in an unsafe manner, or is not completing the training to the satisfaction of the Range Officer, BOLT, or its instructors. They may be asked to immediately leave the training and will forfeit their payment. For the consideration of others, course attendees are expected to arrive to their scheduled course on-time and ready to participate.  At the discretion of the instructor, attendees who are more than 15 minutes late or are unwilling or unable to properly participate may be rescheduled to another course offering or may forfeit their course fee for a one-time course. Individuals are also required to behave with respect for instructors and fellow students.  A Camper Character Contract must be signed by all campers in order to participate in any BOLT summer camp program. All contracts will be sent to participants for signature after registration is complete.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

Firearms training courses require pre-registration and pre-payment.  If you are unable to attend a course for which you have registered, you have the one-time option, 45 days or more prior to the course start date, to cancel for a full refund (minus $25 administration fee). If you are unable to attend the course and need to cancel with fewer than 45 days before the course start date, you may apply your payment to register for another class date or program.

RANGE RULES

Expert Instructors and/or Range Safety Officers are present at all times to ensure the safety of all participants and bystanders. Each Range Safety Officer may use their full discretion concerning safety on the range. If an unsafe behavior occurs, a warning or corrective instruction may be given. If the unsafe behavior is egregious, if it puts others in danger, or if it continues to occur, that participant will be asked to leave the range. Instructors and Range Safety Officers have the final say. BOLT reserves the right to refuse services to any individual who would endanger the safety of other participants or our staff.  Poor, disrespectful, or unsafe conduct may result in immediate dismissal from the course without a refund. If you observe a violation of range rules, please bring it to the attention of any BOLT team member and we will take immediate corrective action. It is our goal to provide you with a safe, fun, and developmental range experience.

BASIC SAFETY RULES

  1. Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.

  2. Never let the muzzle point at anything that you are not willing to destroy.

  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.

  4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it

  9. No one is permitted to cross the firing line at any time, except under control and direction of the Range Safety Officer.

  10. Shooting at anything other than your own designated target is prohibited and will subject you to immediate removal from the range.

MEDIA RELEASE OPT-OUT

During summer camps or training activities the public behavior of participants and those observing may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded. BOLT, its agents, and employees regularly use, publish, reproduce, and release-for-use these photos, videos, and recordings in various media outlets including our Facebook page, other kinds of social media, informational and promotional emails, websites, brochures, newspapers, etc. These images and recordings are used for the purposes of publication, promotion, illustration, and advertising. By registering and participating in BOLT summer camps or training activities, participants, observers, and their parents and guardians agree to release BOLT from all claims and liability relating to BOLT’s use or release of any images or photographs, videos, or recorded comments; and they waive all rights to compensation. Participants, parents, and guardians may request that BOLT not use photographs, video, and recordings of them and/or their children. To do so, the participant and/or their parent/guardian must inform BOLT in writing by submitting a signed Media Release Opt-out. This form will be provided to participants for signature after registration is complete.
